Co-funded electric vehicle charging locations

Fast charging electric vehicle infrastructure will be built at 46 sites across Queensland by the end of 2025. The new co-funded sites, funded by the Queensland Government’s Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure Co-fund Scheme, will complement the Queensland Electric Super Highway.

19 co-funded sites have opened, as at 5 February 2025.

The new charging sites will ensure you can charge your electric vehicle at more locations across Queensland. More infrastructure availability across these locations will enable you to spend less time charging and reduce the duration of your trip.

Co-funded charging sites will be located throughout Queensland in the following towns, at the proposed sites:

*Proposed site is subject to finalising lease agreements between site host and the energy network connection application/capacity outcome. All sites will feature multiple charging units.

As the co-funded sites are progressively built and finalised, the specific locations will be available through the PlugShare app and website.

The Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure Co-Fund Scheme provided $10 million to successful applicants as co-funding to develop infrastructure across the new locations. This scheme is an action from the Zero Emission Vehicle Action Plan 2022–2024.

The successful applicants of the $10 million co-fund are:
